STORY BEHIND THE WINE
Family-owned by the Bernard family for 10 generations, Château Beauchêne is one of the oldest and most historic vineyards in the Rhône. One glance at the Château itself and its picture–perfect surroundings, you would be forgiven for thinking that their wines would be priced beyond the reach of most drinkers, but not so. Château Beauchêne is a favourite around here due to the incredible value and taste that comes with all their offerings.
Located north of Orange, the Côtes du Rhône plots are backed by a hill of “Coniacian” limestones dating from the secondary era (65 M years). Some Viognier plots are located on gravelly alluvial terraces brought by the Aygues river. respect and preservation of biodiversity, protection of the vineyard by Bio-control methods.
