Château Beauchêne, Côtes du Rhone "Le Terroir", 2022
A powerful Côtes-du-Rhône with a creamy structure and fresh finish, reminiscent of Châteauneuf-du-Pape
A beautiful cherry red colour with ruby reflections. A complex and intense nose with aromas of ripe fruits (black cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant). In the mouth, a rich and balanced wine with supple and well-structured tannins. On the finish, we find some peppery notes and a very good aromatic persistence.
- Blend of 60% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 25% Mourvèdre
- Age of the vines: 30 to 100 years old
- Vineyard located at the extreme limit of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation
STORY BEHIND THE WINE
The Grangeneuve terroir of the Bernard family, , shows us its full potential through this cuvée. This historical vineyard of the family is part of the parcels acquired in 1794.
Today, Château Beauchêne is led by Michel and his wife Dominique, who took over in 1971. They are now joined by their daughters, Amandine and Estelle, who represent the 11th generation to carry on this rich tradition.
