WSET Level 1 Award in Wines - Starting 25th February 2026

The WSET Level 1 Award in Wines is an introductory course designed for beginners who want to gain a solid foundation in wine. This course is ideal for those new to the subject or for individuals looking to enhance their wine appreciation skills.

Throughout the course, students will explore the basics of wine, including major grape varieties, fundamental wine styles, and the principles of wine tasting. Participants will also learn essential wine and food pairing techniques and gain confidence in identifying key characteristics in different wines.

Starting on: Wednesday 25th of February 2026 for 2 weeks: 

• Wednesday 25th February - Sessions 1: An Introduction to Wine, Session 2: Palate celebration & Wine Styles, Session 3: How to serve wine
• Wednesday 4th of March - Session 4: Wine Tasting with Food & Wine Matching & Exam.

The WSET Level 1 Award in Wines offered by Whelehans Wines is a perfect entry-level qualification for both wine enthusiasts and professionals starting their journey in the wine industry.
